FAQ / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. What are the requirements for the participant?
Persons who have reached the age of 18 can participate.
2. What are the requirements for the team?
There should be 5 people in the team. If you are registering as a whole team, we recommend that the team includes people with knowledge of both the subject area (physics, chemistry, materials science) and those with competencies in development and programming.
3. What if I don't have a team?
It's okay, you can participate. We will select a team for you right at the hackathon.
4. What are the project requirements?

The following requirements must be met:

  • The project should have an applied nature, solve current problems and have prospects for monetization and be integrated into the business processes of enterprises
  • The project should be developed directly at the hackathon and represent a new idea, and not repeat / continue the early projects of the participants
  • It is not allowed to repackage existing projects of participants for the topics of the hackathon, their submission as a new idea (a hackathon is not a competition for the best scientific work, but a competition for the best idea and its implementation in express conditions)
  • If a concept is presented, it must be theoretically justified and not contradict the principles of fundamental science (you should not try to present us with a "perpetual motion machine").
5. What are the criteria for evaluating projects by the jury members?
  • Novelty. Whether the product or idea is new.
  • Scientific and technological component. Are the proposed solutions original and do they contribute to overcoming important technological barriers?
  • Applied applicability. Whether the project solves important application tasks.
  • Commercialization. The project has prospects for monetization.
  • The project is theoretically justified and does not contradict the fundamental scientific principles
  • The team has the knowledge necessary for the successful implementation of the project and related to the project topic, scientific or industrial experience, and entrepreneurial potential
6. I don't want to perform tasks of industrial partners, I have my own cool idea. What to do?
You can develop and present your idea, provided that it corresponds to the topics.
7. I have a cool idea in the field of classical materials science, but without the digital component. Can I participate?
You can. However, we recommend that you choose a team and complement your idea in such a way that the digital component becomes an integral part of the idea.
8. I don't live in Moscow. Can I participate?
Yes, you can, if your application for participation is approved. We will provide you with a place in a hotel in Moscow for two days.
9. What will I eat?
Meals during the entire hackathon will be provided by the Organizer for free.
10. Where will I sleep?
You can work all night and sleep in the recreation area on the playground, or go home to sleep.
11. How much does participation cost?
Participation is free of charge.
12. What should I do if there is no answer to my question in the FAQ?
